New Orleans traffic is notorious. Bridges get stuck. Uber prices surge. Plan accordingly.

📍 Jean Lafitte (Marrero, LA)

  • Distance: ~25 minutes south of French Quarter.
  • Route: Cross the Crescent City Connection bridge.
  • Uber Check: Easy to get there, harder to get back. Pre-arrange a ride or book a tour with hotel pickup.

📍 Honey Island Swamp (Slidell, LA)

  • Distance: ~45-55 minutes east of French Quarter.
  • Route: I-10 East across Lake Pontchartrain.
  • Note: This is a highway drive. If there is an accident on the Twin Spans bridge, you could be delayed by hours.

📍 Manchac Swamp (Laplace, LA)

  • Distance: ~35-40 minutes west of French Quarter.
  • Route: I-10 West towards the airport.
